Ayurvedic Digestive Fire Ritual (Agni Support)
Michelle Dhanoa | MAR 10
A warming, grounding ritual to gently strengthen digestion and support daily vitality.
This simple Ayurvedic ritual supports Agni—your digestive fire. It helps reduce sluggishness, bloating, and heaviness while promoting clarity, warmth, and steady energy throughout the day.
Warm water or ginger tea
3 slow breaths
Gentle belly circles
Optional: a pinch of fresh ginger or lemon
Sit comfortably and take three slow breaths, letting your belly soften.
Sip warm water or ginger tea slowly, noticing the warmth moving through your chest and belly.
Place your hand on your abdomen and make slow clockwise circles for 30–60 seconds.
Take one final slow breath, imagining warmth spreading through your digestive center.
Add a squeeze of lemon to your warm water for brightness.
Use a warm compress on your belly for deeper grounding.
Pair with a short walk after meals.
Avoid this ritual if you feel overheated, feverish, or nauseated. Choose the gentlest version that feels supportive.
First thing in the morning
Before meals
During sluggish digestion
