I'm Michelle Dhanoa — a yoga teacher, mindfulness coach, and holistic wellness guide dedicated to helping individuals find balance, self-acceptance, and inner peace. My approach is rooted in compassion, intuition, and the belief that true well-being comes from nurturing the whole self — body, mind, and spirit.

Known for my compassionate, funny, and approachable demeanor, I strive to foster a safe and supportive environment for my clients. My Philosophy

Wellness isn’t just about the physical—it’s a full-circle journey. Whether you're seeking relaxation, emotional clarity, or personal transformation, I’m here to help you rediscover yourself through breathwork, visualization, and functional yoga mobility. My mission? Moving you from autopilot into a life filled with purpose and joy.

With over 610 hours of specialized training, I’m a RYT® 500 and RPYT® certified yoga instructor, currently working toward my Clinical Yoga Therapy certification (anticipated October 2026). My teachings weave together a range of therapeutic and traditional practices including :

My Journey

Although I began teaching yoga professionally in 2021, my journey with healing and movement began over 15 years ago. Personal experiences — including surviving melanoma and caring for my father through his battle with juvenile diabetes — taught me the value of slowing down, tuning in, and moving with intention.

These life events shaped my belief in the transformative power of mindfulness, breath, and embodied movement to support us through life’s challenges and transitions.

My teaching style blends the strength and flow of vinyasa, the stillness of yin and restorative, and the deeply nourishing presence of somatic practices and sound healing. I balance structure and playfulness, and I’m known for bringing lightness and humor into even the most restorative settings.

What “Holistic Well-Being” Means

Holistic well-being refers to a comprehensive approach to health that goes beyond just the physical body. It considers the whole person — including:

  • Physical (body, movement, rest)

  • Mental (thoughts, mindset)

  • Emotional (feelings, healing past experiences)

  • Spiritual (sense of connection or purpose)

  • Social/environmental (relationships, surroundings)

Instead of treating symptoms or focusing only on one aspect (like fitness or stress), holistic wellness looks at how everything is interconnected — and seeks balance among all areas.

I offer more than yoga poses:

  • I integrate trauma-informed practices, somatic movement, breathwork, sound healing, and mindfulness.

I offer classes and services across the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area — including Anne Arundel County, Howard County, and beyond — both virtually and in-person.
