Mindful Morning Ritual for Busy Women
Michelle Dhanoa | MAR 8
A gentle, grounding start to the day that supports clarity, steadiness, and emotional ease.
A short, nourishing ritual designed to help you begin the day with presence instead of urgency. This practice supports emotional steadiness, nervous system regulation, and a sense of inner spaciousness before the day begins pulling you outward.
3 slow breaths
One grounding sensation
A simple intention
Optional: warm tea or warm water
Sit comfortably and place one hand on your heart or belly.
Take three slow breaths, letting the exhale be slightly longer than the inhale.
Notice one grounding sensation: the warmth of your hand, the weight of your body, or the steadiness of your seat.
Whisper a simple intention such as “steady,” “soft,” “present,” or “one thing at a time.”
Sip something warm if you have it, letting the warmth anchor you into your body.
Keep your eyes open if closing them feels activating.
Stand instead of sit if you feel restless.
Write your intention on a sticky note to carry with you.
If mornings feel rushed or overwhelming, shorten this ritual to one breath and one intention. The practice is meant to meet you where you are, not add pressure.
Before checking your phone
On mornings that feel rushed or heavy
Before caregiving, commuting, or work
When you want to begin the day with clarity instead of reactivity
