Women’s Wellness: Nervous System Softening Ritual
Michelle Dhanoa | MAR 14
A gentle, hormone‑supportive ritual to help your body shift from activation into ease.
This calming ritual supports emotional steadiness and hormonal balance by inviting the body into softness. It’s especially helpful during cycle transitions, perimenopause, postpartum seasons, or stressful days.
Hand on heart or belly
3 slow breaths
One supportive phrase
Optional: warm tea or warm compress
Sit comfortably and place one hand on your heart or belly.
Take three slow breaths, letting your exhale soften your chest and shoulders.
Whisper a supportive phrase such as “I soften,” “I honor my pace,” or “I am allowed to rest.”
Sip something warm or place a warm compress on your belly for grounding.
Keep eyes open if closing them feels activating.
Add gentle shoulder rolls before the breath.
Pair with a short journaling prompt like “What does my body need right now?”
If breathwork feels activating, shorten the practice to one breath and one phrase.
PMS or cycle transitions
Perimenopause or postpartum seasons
Stressful mornings or evenings
Before bed or after emotional overwhelm
